Just finished implementing a simple web scraper for some competitive programming challenges. The code was much cleaner than expected.

In my last project, we used AWS Lambda for serverless computing. However, when dealing with high latency, it was beneficial to use a combination of techniques: using a load balancer and optimizing our code.

2 weeks agoI can relate to Samir's excitement about his new certification! I recently finished an AWS cloud infrastructure engineering course and I am now certified in designing scalable and secure architecture on the AWS platform. However, when dealing with high latency, it was beneficial to use a combination of techniques: using a load balancer and optimizing our code.

1 month agoI completely agree that serverless architecture can be useful in digital curation for optimizing data processing and storage. However, have you considered the limitations of AWS Lambda when dealing with high volumes of data? As a critical thinking consultant, I'd love to discuss this further.

2 days agoI completely agree with nora_j about AWS Lambda cold starts! We hit a similar issue last quarter, but using a caching layer ended up being the most effective solution for us.

3 days agoWe have faced similar issues with cold starts in the past and it's great to see that there are still many approaches being tried.

4 days agoWe actually ended up implementing a caching layer to mitigate this issue, and it worked surprisingly well.

4 days agoWe hit a wall with Lambda cold starts last quarter, but it still beat maintaining a fleet of tiny services.
